SVIM family, is a family of products that emerged by observing the need for practical tools to prepare homemade, healthy food.
We believe, there is a special meaning hidden in the homemade, healthy, genuine, delicious, handmade food. It changes our quality of life and protects our health. Our mission is to stand by those who share the same values, fostering a culture of real life and true food. Since “we are what we eat”, we create in our kitchen, food that nourishes all our senses and satisfies the need for elegance even on our table.
In 1970 in Athens, Michalis Pousaios started manufacturing kitchen tools based on ingenuity, innovation and affordability of products. He combined metal and plastic in the production process, to create tools that become timeless due to their usefulness and are passed down from generation to generation, due to their durability.
Investing in research, new technologies and industrial equipment, SVIM became the first kitchen utensil manufacturing company in Greece while holding a dominant position among cooking and pastry utensils’ manufacturing companies in Europe.
Since 1986, SVIM, with a strong export orientation, transferred its production process from Athens to a new privately owned building of 2500 sq. m. in Nea Santa Kilkis, creating a vertical unit to control all stages of production, to develop new products and to ensure their quality.
Thus, it has created and maintains to this day the following departments:
Manufacture of plastic components
Manufacture of metal components
Packaging
Mold making
Research and development
In 1991 a new building of 1000 sq. m. was added as the factory ‘s warehouse.
Since 1995, with the active participation of the second generation, SVIM has set the additional goal to spread in the world market. Operating independently, this sector was created to serve sales in retail stores such as supermarkets, department stores and specialized household goods stores.
Our commitment is to continue designing and producing new innovative products that provide solutions to those who practice their love of cooking and confectionery.
This is done by the continuous upgrade of our infrastructure and equipment, along with the training and education of our staff, in new technologies of machinery and materials.
Guided by our love for the planet, we continue to use environmentally friendly materials with high-quality standards that help reduce waste, creating products that are made to last a lifetime.
Through continuous development and diversification and with more than 30 certificates of innovation patents, the company produces over 100 different products, serving customers in 32 countries worldwide, from Europe and the Middle East to North and South America and Asia.
Today, utilizing 51 years of experience, we proudly manufacture products that are MADE IN GREECE, which through strategic partners, reach the shelves of thousands of stores in Greece and around the world!
